RACISM of IEEE
Some years ago a Professor Michel GEVERS , Prof. of Automatic Control in the Universite Catholique de Louvain, published a series of articles on the Web about
* Racism of IEEE
* Various Financial Frauds of IEEE OfficersMichel Gevers was born in Antwerp, Belgium, in 1945. He obtained an Electrical Engineering degree from the Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, in 1968, and a Ph.D. degree from Stanford University, California, in 1972. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, a Distinguished Member of the IEEE Control Systems Society, and he holds a Honorary Degree (Doctor Honoris Causa) from the University of Brussels. He has been President of the European Union Control Association (EUCA) from 1997 to 1999, and Vice President of the IEEE Control Systems Society in 2000 and 2001. In 2004, he initiated a petition against the IEEE Racism gathering more than 5000 signatures. After being IEEE Felow he removed these Web Pages. If somebody have them, please, upload them as comments at this post.
However, after his promotion to IEEE Fellowship Rank, he removed these web pages
Later, some of his collaborators opened the web page:
where they said: Do you really believe that you can publish your work in IEEE with the same terms as other scholars?
In this web page: http://www.anti-plagiarism.org/ieee-racism.htm
they claimed : "This web page is the result of a full research in
the Universite Catholique de Louvain (Belgium).
It had been published by the laboratory of Prof. Gevers
who was ... IEEE Fellow!!!
After several protests and threats from IEEE, the Universite Catholique de Louvain
removed these pages"
This is a lie.
The real explanation was that IEEE "upgraded" Prof. Gevers to IEEE Fellow grade,
closing the mouth of Gevers.
Some professor from this University sent the relevant material to:
